When restoration is a good option
Restoration can help when oxidation and haze are mainly on the outside of a sound lens. The damaged surface is corrected and the lens is finished with protection intended to slow the return of UV damage.
It may not solve a housing with internal crazing, a burned reflector, broken mounts, heavy moisture intrusion, or damage on the inside of the lens. In those cases, replacing or repairing the housing may be the honest answer.
We check more than the lens
- External oxidation, scratches, and pitting
- Cracks, failed seals, and moisture inside the housing
- Bulb condition, connectors, wiring, drivers, and ballasts
- Uneven output, flicker, warning messages, and voltage problems
- Beam pattern and headlight aim
A clear lens cannot fix a weak bulb, damaged reflector, poor ground, or badly aimed housing. We separate the cosmetic problem from the lighting problem so the work addresses what you actually see from the driver’s seat.
Restoration, repair, or an upgrade
If the housing is sound, restoration is often more economical than replacing a complete lamp assembly. If output is still poor after the lens is addressed, we can evaluate the original halogen, HID, or LED system.
